A smoothie is a thick beverage made from blended fruits or vegetables, with ice, water, or sweeteners,…

1. Banana and avocado smoothie for a vibrant Monday morning

Estimated preparation time and quantity of finished product:

  • Preparation time: 20 minutes.
  • Quantity: 2 bowls.

Ingredients and tools prepared:

  • 1 – 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 avocado (or 100g frozen avocado)
  • 200ml nut milk
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 – 2 large kale leaves

Steps to follow:

Step 1: Cut the bananas and avocado into bite-sized pieces. Remove the wilted and damaged leaves from the spinach and kale, discard the hard stems, then wash and chop them short.

Step 2: Divide the ingredients into two parts and add them sequentially to the blender, first blending the nut milk and greens for about 1 minute, then adding the remaining fruits for another minute before turning off the machine.

Final product

Pour the mixture into a wide-mouth bowl and sprinkle with toppings (banana, kiwi, hemp seeds).

Note: You should use a moderate amount of milk to keep the smoothie thick; adding too much will dilute the smoothie, making it difficult to place toppings.

  • Half a bowl of frozen strawberries
  • Half a bowl of frozen blueberries (or you can use mulberries)
  • 1/2 a red dragon fruit
  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • 1 cup of nut milk (cashew milk, oat milk, or coconut milk)

Note:

  • You need to use at least 2 types of frozen fruit for the smoothie to have a thick, fluffy texture and not be watery.

  • 2 teaspoons of peanut butter
  • 1 cup of nut milk
