White porridge, pureed 1 bowl (rice bowl) Beef 100 gr Tomato 1 fruit Garlic 2 cloves Olive oil 1/2 tablespoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon
How to Choose Fresh Ingredients
How to choose fresh beef
- To buy fresh beef, you should choose meat that is bright red, firm, has good elasticity, dry, with soft texture, and no odor.
- When buying meat, you should choose to buy at reputable meat shops or in supermarkets, TasteVN to ensure safety, quality, and food safety.
- Do not choose beef that has been frozen, lacks elasticity, or has a dark red color, as these have been stored for a long time and are less tasty.
How to choose fresh and delicious tomatoes
- When buying tomatoes, you should choose those that are plump with a bright red color, uniform in color, and emit a light, characteristic aroma.
- Freshly picked tomatoes will have the stem firmly attached to the top of the fruit. Preferably, choose tomatoes of medium size, not too big or too small, because overly large tomatoes will have thick flesh, making them less sweet when cooked.
- Avoid choosing tomatoes that are bruised, ripened unevenly, have fallen stems, or have signs of pests, or whose skin is wrinkled and feel soft when touched.
How to make Beef Tomato Porridge for Baby Weaning
-
Mince beef and tomatoes
To eliminate the strong smell of beef, after purchasing, soak the meat in diluted salt water for about 3 minutes, then rinse with clean water, drain, and place on a cutting board, slice thinly and mince finely.
Wash the tomatoes with water, use a knife to make two cuts forming a cross at the bottom of the fruit. Next, place the tomatoes in a bowl, boil 100ml of water and pour it into the bowl containing the tomatoes.
Soak for about 5 minutes until the flesh and skin of the tomatoes separate, then gently peel off the skin. Cut the flesh in half and mince finely.
Peel the garlic and mince finely.
-
Stir-fry beef with tomatoes
Place a pot on the stove, add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil and all the minced garlic into the pot, sauté on low heat for about 2 minutes until the garlic turns golden and fragrant, then add the minced tomatoes.
Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until the tomatoes are firm, then add the beef. Continue to stir for another 2 minutes until the beef is just cooked.
-
Cooking the porridge
After stir-frying the beef and tomatoes until just cooked, add about 1 bowl of white porridge that has been finely sifted (rice bowl) into the mixture. Stir well to combine the ingredients.
Then cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes until the porridge boils, add 1/3 teaspoon of salt, stir well, and cook for another minute until the beef is tender, then turn off the stove.
-
Final product
The beef and tomato porridge after cooking will have an attractive aroma of garlic blended with a beautiful orange-yellow color.
When eaten, you will feel the porridge is soft and smooth, combined with the mild sweet and sour taste of tomatoes and a bit of the tender deliciousness of beef. This creates a porridge that is both delicious and nutritious, ensuring your little one will love it.
