How to cook Stir-fried octopus with celery

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Clean the octopus by removing the beak and ink sac, then wash and let it drain.

    Peel the onion, rinse it briefly with water, and slice it thinly.

    Remove the seeds from the bell pepper, rinse it briefly with water, let it drain, and cut it into thin strips.

    Pick the celery and leeks, discarding any bad or wilted leaves, cut off the roots, wash them clean, let them drain, and then cut them into pieces about the length of a finger.

    Put a pot on the stove, add enough water to fill 1/3 of the pot and bring to a boil. When the water boils, add the octopus and blanch for 1 – 2 minutes, then remove and let cool.

    Place a pan on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pan. Wait for the oil to heat up and then add garlic to sauté until fragrant.

    Next, add the octopus and stir-fry for 1 – 2 minutes, then season the pan with 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of chili paste, and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes for the seasoning to soak into the octopus before turning off the heat.

    Place another pan on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to it. Wait for the oil to heat up and then add onion to stir-fry for about 2 minutes. Next, sequentially add bell pepper, celery, and leek to the pan and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Season the pan with 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce and continue to stir-fry.

    After that, add the previously stir-fried octopus to the pan and continue to stir-fry for another 2 – 3 minutes, then taste and adjust the seasoning as needed before turning off the heat, and transfer everything to a plate.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After purchasing the octopus, remove all the beaks and ink sacs, wash thoroughly with water, drain, and cut into bite-sized pieces.

    Next, place all the chopped octopus into a bowl along with 1 teaspoon of seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, and 1/3 teaspoon of sugar, then mix well and marinate for 10 minutes to allow the octopus to absorb the flavors.

    Wash the ginger briefly with water, then peel and slice it thinly.

    Peel the onion, wash it thoroughly with water, and cut it into wedges.

    Wash the green onions, drain them, and cut them into pieces about 2 finger lengths long.
