How to Choose Good Peanuts
- Choose dry peanuts with the outer shell removed, leaving only the inner skin.
- You should select peanuts that are dark pink or light pinkish in color, with a shiny skin that is not wrinkled indicating they are not moldy.
- Do not choose peanuts with shriveled seeds or sprouts as they are not good for health.
- Avoid peanuts that have been eaten by pests, have a musty smell or any unusual odors.
How to Cook Fried Peanuts with Seasoning

Clean the Peanuts
Wash the peanuts thoroughly with water, then use a towel to dry them completely.

Mix the eggs with the peanuts
Add 2 eggs, stir well to combine the peanuts and eggs together.
Use a sieve to filter out the excess eggs from the mixture.

Season the peanuts
Put the peanuts in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of fennel powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of five-spice powder, then mix well.
Next, add 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, mix well so that each peanut is coated with flour.Then, use a sieve to filter out the excess flour from the peanuts.
Tip: If you are a spicy food lover, you can add a little chili powder to the mixture.

Fry the peanuts
Add cooking oil to about 1/3 of the pan, when the oil is hot, add the peanuts and fry on low heat. To ensure even cooking, you need to stir continuously while frying!
After about 7 minutes, the peanuts should be cooked enough. If you prefer crispy peanuts, increase the heat to make the oil hotter and fry again for about 15 – 30 seconds.
Remove the peanuts, place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil and let them cool. Now the crispy fried peanuts are ready to be plated.
