- Method 1: You can rub the carp with lemon, vinegar, crushed ginger, or alcohol, or soak it in water mixed with this solution for about 10 – 15 minutes.

Prepare Other Ingredients
Peel the ginger, wash it clean, and cut it into thin strips. Remove the dirty roots from the mushrooms, discard any spoiled ones, and rinse them thoroughly.

Steaming Fish
Place the fish in a stainless steel tray and put it into a pot or pan large enough to hold the fish, add chopped green onions and onion wedges, the remaining ginger, and sliced chili, along with purple onion on top of the fish.
