How to Make Fried Yogurt Cake
-
Whip the egg yolk
Put 1 egg yolk and 15g of sugar into a bowl and beat until the mixture turns light yellow.
-
Mixing the cake batter
Sift 10g of cornstarch and 20ml of condensed milk into the egg mixture and stir well until combined.
-
Stirring the milk mixture
Slowly add 100ml of warm milk into the bowl and stir well.
Note: Do not let the milk get too hot, as it will cook the eggs and cause curdling.Next, add 100g of sweetened yogurt and stir well.
-
Cooking the filling mixture
Cook the mixture on low heat while continuously stirring until the mixture thickens, then turn off the heat.
When the mixture is still warm, add in a piece of cheese, 5g of unsalted butter, 1ml of vanilla, and mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let it cool, then place the filling into a piping bag.
-
Prepare the cake crust
Cut off the 4 edges of the sandwich bread and use a rolling pin to flatten the slice of bread.
Next, fold the slice of bread in half and use scissors to cut the edges. Use a knife or fork to press down on the edges of the bread, leaving one end open for stuffing the filling.
-
Stuffing the filling
Slowly pump the filling into the bread, then continue to use a knife or fork to press down to seal the edges tightly.
Note: You can apply a little water to the edges of the bread to increase adhesion. -
Fry the cake
Prepare 1 bowl of beaten eggs, 1 plate of breadcrumbs. Dip the bread in the beaten egg, then coat it with a layer of breadcrumbs.
Put a pan on the stove, add oil, and fry the bread over medium heat until both sides are golden brown.
-
Final Product
The yogurt cake has a uniformly golden, crispy crust that blends with the rich, sweet filling from cheese and milk, accompanied by a slight sourness from yogurt.
