How to prepare Buckwheat Triangle Cake

  • Grind buckwheat seeds into flour

    Method 1: If you have dried buckwheat seeds available, grind the seeds into flour using a blender.

    Note that the blender you have should be at least 1000W and capable of grinding seeds.

    Method 2: If you can find buckwheat flour for purchase, you will save time in this step.

    Method 3: If you have buckwheat seeds but no blender, use a pestle and mortar to grind them into a fine powder.

    This method is manual and takes a lot of time, and sometimes the flour may not be fine enough.

  • Mix buckwheat flour with water

    Gradually add water to the buckwheat flour and stir with a spoon.

    Add water until you achieve a thick but still runny batter.

    Prepare 4 small bowls and place them in a steam pot.

    Fill the bowls with buckwheat flour, cover, and steam for about 20 minutes.

    After steaming, the buckwheat cake has taken shape.

    At this point, take the cake out of the bowls and prepare to bake.

    Select the baking mode if your air fryer has it available.

    If not, set the time to 20 minutes and the temperature to 170 degrees.

    Don’t forget to pause the air fryer after the first 10 minutes, flip the cake, and continue baking.
