1 Create a cat owl shape from pineapple and melon
Tools required

- 1 pineapple
- 1 melon
- 1 lemon
- 1 kiwi
- 1 grape
- 1 knife
- 1 fruit carving knife
- 9 toothpicks
- 1 cutting board
Steps to follow
Step 1: Create the body and legs of the cat owl
First, place the pineapple on the cutting board and use the knife to cut off the tail and head to form the body of the cat owl.
Step 2: Create the legs of the cat owl
Next, cut the lemon in half vertically, and use the fruit carving knife to make jagged edges on each half to form the legs of the cat owl. Then, use toothpicks to secure the legs to the bottom of the body.
Step 3: Make the wings of the cat owl
The cut-off stem that you did earlier, use a knife to cut it in half vertically. Then, insert toothpicks on both sides of the body and attach the pineapple stem to make wings for the owl.
Step 4: Making the owl’s head
Place the melon on the cutting board, proceed to cut off the head and the tail, then peel the skin. After that, use a knife to carve two circular holes on the body to create eye sockets.
Next, insert 2 toothpicks into the eye sockets and attach 2 slices of kiwi. Then, further attach 2 halved grapes to make the “sly” eyes for the owl.
The leftover kiwi you cut into an arrow shape and use a toothpick to attach it between the two eyes to make the nose. That’s it, you have completed the owl’s head.
Step 5: Final touches
Use a toothpick to attach the completed head to the body. Now we have a cute, lively owl to decorate the house for the upcoming Halloween festival.

Steps to perform
Step 1: Shape the body of the owl
Place 1 pineapple on the cutting board and use the knife to cut off the head and tail vertically to create the owl’s body.
For the remaining pineapple, cut off the crown, bottom, and both sides to form a rectangular block for the base.

Cut the orange in half and use the knife to create a jagged edge as shown in the image below to make the owl’s legs.
Then, place the 2 legs on the base and continue to place the previously made body on top.
Step 3: Shape the owl’s wings
Cut the crown of the pineapple in half vertically. Then, attach it to both sides of the body and use toothpicks to secure it as the owl’s wings.
Step 4: Shaping the owl’s head
Place the pear on the cutting board and use a knife to cut off the top and bottom parts. Then, use a fruit carving knife to carve out 2 round holes on the body to create eye sockets.
Cut 2 slices of carrot horizontally and use toothpicks to attach them into the eye sockets. Then, attach 2 halved grapes to create the owl’s eyes.
Finally, use a knife to cut the remaining carrot into an arrow shape and use a toothpick to attach it between the two eyes to create the nose.
Step 5: Making the eyebrows for the owl
Use a fruit carving knife to cut 2 slices of cucumber skin as shown in the image below to create “funny” eyebrows for the owl.
Then, attach the eyebrows above the eyes. Now the owl’s head is complete. It looks really lively, doesn’t it?
Step 6: Final touches
Place the completed head onto the body and bring the owl to decorate the party table. Now, you just need to dress up and get ready to enjoy Halloween with friends and family.
