Making marshmallow skewers
First, use scissors to cut the straws in half. Then, take the straw and skewer each marshmallow piece one by one, with about 3 – 4 pieces per straw.
Note: If your straw is short, just skewer about 2 pieces, don’t fill the straw completely; leave some space to hold it. -
Melting white chocolate
You heat 350ml of boiling water and pour it into a large bowl. Next, you place 375gr of white chocolate into a smaller bowl and set it inside the large bowl, stirring the white chocolate in a double boiler until it completely melts.
Alternatively, you can also put the chocolate in the microwave and heat it for about 30 seconds to 1 minute to save time.
Then, you add about 1 tablespoon of coconut oil into the white chocolate bowl, stirring the mixture until it becomes slightly thick and creamy.
-
Crushing candy cane
You break 4 candy canes into small pieces and put them into a mortar or a multi-purpose grinder. Cover it and grind the candy into small bits.
-
Dipping chocolate and decorating
First, to prevent the candies from sticking to the plate, lay a layer of parchment paper underneath.
Next, dip each marshmallow skewer into the bowl of white chocolate, gently twirling it a few times before placing the candy on the plate, and sprinkle a little bit of crushed candy cane on top.
With the leftover white chocolate, divide it into 2 small bowls, adding 1 drop of green food coloring to one bowl, and 1 drop of pink food coloring to the other, then stir well to mix the chocolate with the color.
At this point, transfer each colored chocolate into a piping bag, cut a small opening at the tip of the bag, then drizzle diagonal lines over the marshmallow skewers, and finally sprinkle a bit more of the remaining crushed candy to finish it off!

Final product
White chocolate dipped marshmallows with eye-catching colors along with adorable patterned straws.
The outer layer of white chocolate is lightly crispy, sweet, and creamy, while the inside is soft and chewy marshmallow accompanied by the crunchy sound from the crushed candy cane, making it a delightful treat.

Melting dark chocolate
Place a pot on the stove, add about 200g of dark chocolate to the pan, and heat over medium-low heat until the chocolate is completely melted. Stir constantly while heating to prevent the chocolate from burning at the bottom of the pot.
Additionally, you can transfer the chocolate to a bowl and heat it in the microwave for a quicker option.
-
Dipping the candy and decorating
First, lay a layer of parchment paper on the baking tray so the candy doesn’t stick when placed on it.
Next, use a stick or plastic skewer to pierce the marshmallow candy, then dip the candy into the melted chocolate bowl, rolling it evenly to coat the candy completely with chocolate.
Finally, place a cherry on top of the candy, then sprinkle some candy sprinkles for a decorative touch.
-
The final product
Chocolate dipped marshmallow with sweet, soft, fluffy marshmallow pieces blended with a light bitterness of chocolate along with sour and sweet cherry jam creates an incredibly unique taste. The candy will taste better when chilled, making the chocolate layer firmer and crunchier.
What is marshmallow?
- Marshmallow is the name of a type of chewy candy – soft and fluffy like cotton candy, primarily made from corn syrup, sugar, gelatin, vanilla flavoring…. This type of candy is used as a snack or as an ingredient in the preparation and decoration of cakes, ice cream, drinks…
