How to cook Saté Chicken

Prepare the chicken
When you buy chicken, wash it thoroughly with water, cut off the oily gland at the chicken’s tail to reduce the smell and fishiness.
Then, use coarse salt to rub on the chicken, next, cut a lemon in half and rub it on the chicken again, then rinse with water.
Finally, cut the chicken in half and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
Tip: Besides salt and lemon, you can eliminate the fishy smell of chicken by mixing vinegar and salt, then pouring the mixture over the chicken and rubbing it inside and out before rinsing with water. -
Marinate the chicken
Put the chicken in a pot, then add 150g of saté, lemongrass, chili, and garlic (minced), then mix well for the chicken to absorb the spices, and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

Cook the chicken
Turn on the stove, add the marinated chicken to the pot, season with 2 teaspoons of cooking oil, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1/3 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, and 2 teaspoons of fish sauce, then mix the ingredients well.
After about 5 minutes, the marinating liquid starts to thicken, add 1 cup of water (rice bowl) and continue to cook the meat for about 10 minutes until the chicken stew boils and then you can turn off the heat.

Tips for successfully making the dish

- You can replace water with fresh coconut water to make the dish sweeter and more delicious.
