How to Choose Quality Soursop

  • You should choose fresh soursop fruits that are not bruised and have a yellow-green color with shiny skin. Pressing with your hand should feel soft and have a distinctive aroma.
  • Avoid buying fruits that are dark, gray, and have signs of bruising or rough skin, as they will not make good tea.
  • To make delicious tea, you should select ripe and soft fruits.

How to make Custard Apple Tea

  • Prepare the ingredients

    The custard apple you bought should be cut in half, peeled, and the inner stem removed. Next, separate the custard apple flesh and place it into a bowl (you can keep the seeds or remove them according to your preference).

    Add 2 passion fruits to the prepared custard apple to enhance the flavor.

    Next, add between 400 – 600 grams of sugar depending on your taste, mix well, cover, and let it sit for 2 – 3 hours for the sugar to dissolve and soak into the custard apple, then put it in the refrigerator for later use.

  • Steep the tea

    To brew 1 cup of soursop tea, you can use 1 tea bag or 2.5 grams of fresh tea steeped in warm water for 5 minutes.
