Ingredients for Crispy Fried Vegetarian Squid For 4 people

Sweet potato 300 gr Vegetarian sausage 150 gr Crispy flour 50 gr Breadcrumbs 50 gr Chili sauce 100 gr Vegetarian seasoning 10 gr Sugar 10 gr Cooking oil 200 ml Onion 10 gr Water 100 ml

How to choose good sweet potatoes

  • You should choose sweet potatoes that are firm, fresh, not bruised, with an intact exterior, not cracked or chipped. When you hold the potato, it should feel heavy, firm, and not bruised. Avoid buying overly large potatoes as they tend to be fibrous; instead, choose medium-sized ones.
  • Avoid buying potatoes that are black or pockmarked, as these are rotten and inedible.
  • Sweet potatoes should not be stored in the refrigerator; they will spoil quickly and lose their flavor, becoming wilted.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Boil the sweet potatoes for 15 minutes, then peel and mash them until smooth. Chop the green onions and mince them finely. Cut the vegan sausage into bite-sized pieces, and slice the tail to resemble squid tentacles.

  • Mix the potatoes

    Add 10g of vegan seasoning, 10g of sugar, and 10g of chopped green onions to the mashed sweet potatoes and mix well.

    Take a tablespoon of the mixed potato and flatten it in your hand, place the vegan sausage on top and roll the potato tightly around it.

    Add 50g of frying flour to a bowl, then add 100ml of water and mix until the batter is smooth. After that, place the battered vegan squid on a plate.
