How to choose fresh and delicious black chicken
- Delicious chicken will have a compact, firm body with a small breast, and the skin will be shiny black.
- Fresh chicken meat has no sour or foul smell.
- Press the meat with your hand to check; if the meat is firm and elastic, it is good chicken. If the meat is mushy, slippery, deformed, or indented, it is best not to buy it to avoid affecting your health.

Prepare the ingredients
When purchasing black chicken, you can ask the seller to clean it for you, and then you just need to wash it again with diluted salt water and let it drain.
The herbal ingredients should be rinsed with water and left to drain.

Stewed Chicken
You put the chicken in a clay pot to stew (if you don’t have a clay pot, you can use a regular pot).
You add 10 grams of goji berries, 5 grams of rehmannia root, 5 grams of codonopsis, 5 grams of angelica, 5 grams of black dates, 5 grams of jade bamboo, 5 grams of shiitake mushrooms, 5 grams of magnolia vine, 5 grams of white chi, 5 grams of ligusticum, and 5 grams of longan into the pot with the chicken.
Then you add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Pour the water from 1 coconut into the pot, wait for it to boil, then cover and simmer on low heat for 2 hours.

After stewing for 2 hours, you add 5 grams of goji berries and cook for another 1 minute, then turn off the heat and enjoy!
