How to choose good sticky rice
- Good sticky rice grains should be large and uniform in size. The outer layer should be shiny, the grains should not be broken, should not have husks, and should have a yellow color. There should be a natural, characteristic aroma.

How to make Black Bean Sticky Rice

Soak beans and sticky rice
Rinse the black beans and sticky rice, then add a little salt to each bowl and soak overnight or for 8 hours.

Prepare the coconut milk
Add 50ml of water to 150g of grated coconut, then squeeze to extract the first coconut milk. Next, add another 150ml of water to the mixture and squeeze to extract the second coconut milk. You will get 60ml of the first coconut milk and 180ml of the second coconut milk. Add 30g of sugar to the first coconut milk and stir well until the sugar dissolves.

Cooking Sticky Rice
Wash the beans thoroughly, put them in the rice cooker with half a liter of water, and cook until done.
Wash the sticky rice, then add half a teaspoon of salt and mix gently. After that, place it into the rice cooker with the beans at the bottom, pour the coconut milk over, spread it evenly, and use a spoon to press down so that the liquid soaks into the beans underneath. Cook for 10 minutes. Then use chopsticks to fluff it up, slowly drizzle the sweetened coconut milk over it. Continue to press the “Cook” button until the sticky rice is cooked, then scoop it out to enjoy.
