Mulberries 1/2 kg Granulated sugar 1.5 kg White alcohol 1 liter (alcohol content 35 – 38 degrees)

How to Make Mulberry Wine

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Wash the mulberries thoroughly, being careful to wash gently to avoid bruising them. Place the mulberries in a basket to drain all the water.

  • Infusing the liquor

    You add mulberries and sugar in a 1:1 ratio into glass jar in the order of 1 layer of mulberries – 1 layer of sugar. You should estimate beforehand so that the sugar layer is on top, then cover the mouth of the jar tightly with plastic wrap and seal the lid tightly for at least 1 month.

    After 1 month, pour additional white liquor into the mulberry jar. Depending on the preferences of the user, you can add more or less liquor to the jar, or if you want stronger/weaker liquor, you can buy high/low alcohol content liquor as desired.

  • Final product

    After 1 month of infusing with liquor, you need to filter out the mulberry pulp and pour the liquor into another glass jar for storage. When completed, you will have a beautiful purple cup of mulberry liquor that is fragrant, with a sweet and gentle taste, very easy to drink.

Tips for Successful Implementation

  • It is not advisable to use plastic bottles as the infused alcohol will not taste good.
  • It is recommended to infuse the alcohol for at least 1 month for the mulberry alcohol to reach its best quality.
  • If you cannot drink strong alcohol, there is no need to add more white alcohol because the mulberries and sugar will have fermented to create light alcohol already.
  • Store mulberry alcohol by keeping it away from direct sunlight, in a dry and cool place, with a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius!
