Watermelon 300 g Sweet corn 1 ear Margarine 20 g Cilantro 5 g Salt 1 teaspoon

How to Choose Fresh Watermelon

  • The red, sweet watermelons are usually ripe ones with small, wilted stems, a firm and shiny rind, with clear black stripes or brown spots on the body of the watermelon.
  • You should choose those with a yellow or creamy bottom rind. Additionally, pay attention to whether the bottom is dented; the more it is, the sweeter the watermelon will be.
  • If you feel that the weight of the watermelon is heavier than it looks, and it makes a “thud” sound when tapped, then it will definitely be a juicy watermelon.
  • Avoid buying watermelons that are soft and mushy, with fresh green stems, or those that feel lighter than their appearance.

  • Cutting the watermelon

    Peel the watermelon, cut it into pieces about 1.5 cm thick, then use the tip of a knife to remove the seeds, and finally cut it into small square cubes.

  • Grilling the corn

    Put the vegetable butter in a pan, heat it until melted, then pour it into a bowl.

    Place the grill on the infrared stove and put the corn on to grill, brushing the melted butter onto the corn with a brush while grilling. Turn the corn evenly until you see it cooked and slightly charred, then stop.

    Wait for the corn to cool a bit, then place it on a cutting board and use a knife to cut off the grilled corn kernels.

    Wash the cilantro and chop it finely.
