  • For packaged fish cakes, you can buy them at supermarkets or grocery stores. However, you need to check the expiration date carefully, ensure the packaging is intact, and that the product does not have mold or unusual spots inside.
  • For freshly grated fish cakes at the market, you should choose a reputable place, ensuring that the fish is freshly grated, with no foul smell or signs of darkening or discoloration in the flesh.
  • If you are meticulous, you can buy the fish and grate it yourself to ensure health safety.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Wash all the ingredients thoroughly, remove any bruised or worm-eaten parts from the flowering vine. Cut the tomatoes into wedges.

    Slice the chili peppers thinly. Mince the small chili peppers.

    Chop the roots of the cilantro finely, then chop the leaves together with the green onions.
