How to choose fresh and delicious carrots

  • Choose carrots that are dark orange in color, of moderate size, with fresh green tops that are tightly attached to the root.
  • Choose those that have smooth skin, feel firm to the touch, and are not bruised or wilted or have dark spots on the body.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Soak the tofu skin in cold water briefly, then spread it evenly in a basket. Let it sit for about 15 minutes until the tofu skin becomes soft, then cut it into rectangular pieces about the length of one finger, with a width of about half a finger.

    Remove the stems from the enoki mushrooms and rinse them with diluted salt water. Then, gently squeeze to drain excess water.

    Peel the carrot, wash it thoroughly, drain it, and cut it into thin strips so that the length of the carrot strips matches the length of the enoki mushrooms.

    Spread the tofu skin evenly on a plate. Next, place a strip of carrot and a little enoki mushroom on top, then roll it up tightly. Continue this process until all the carrot and mushrooms are used up.

  • Pan-fried tofu skin

    Place a pan on the stove, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the pan. Wait for the oil to heat up, then arrange all the rolled tofu skins in the pan. After that, drizzle another tablespoon of cooking oil over the rolled tofu skins and proceed to pan-fry until both sides are golden brown, then remove.

  • Make the sauce

    Put about 5 tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch into a small bowl and stir well

    Keep the pan with fried tofu skin on the stove, at this point add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of seasoning, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, and 2 tablespoons of ketchup to the pan, then turn on the stove, reduce the heat and cook until the seasoning mixture in the pan dissolves completely.

    Then, add about 2/3 tablespoon of diluted cornstarch to the pan and stir well for about another 5 seconds before turning off the heat.

    Arrange the fried tofu skin on a plate and pour the sauce over it, garnishing with a few sprigs of cilantro to finish.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Soak the fresh tofu skin in water until soft, then remove and let it drain. After that, cut it into bite-sized pieces.

    Put into a bowl small 1 rice bowl of tamarind juice, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of minced chili, then stir well for the ingredients to dissolve together.

    Heat a pan on the stove, turn the heat to medium, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the pan. Wait for the oil to heat up, add the tamarind sauce along with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and cook until the sauce in the pan thickens, then season to taste.
