How to make Grilled Spring Rolls

  • Prepare the ingredients

Clean the pork you bought, then soak it in diluted salt water for about 30 minutes before cooking. After soaking, rinse it with water and let it drain.

Next, use a knife to finely chop the pork. After it is finely chopped, separate the pork into 600g for making spring rolls and 500g for making fried rolls.

Then, clean the pork fat, cut it into small cubes, and finely chop it. For garlic and shallots, also chop them finely.

Clean the green onions and then chop them finely. Wash the carrots and shred them thinly. Finally, soak the wood ear mushrooms until they expand, then cut them into small pieces.

How to properly soak dry wood ear mushrooms:

    • To expand the wood ear mushrooms, after buying them, soak them in cold water, but be careful not to soak for more than 3 hours. After this time, the mushrooms will produce toxins.
    • Do not soak the wood ear mushrooms in hot water as it may cause food poisoning due to the hot water stimulating the release of toxins.
    • After the mushrooms have expanded, rinse them thoroughly with water before cooking.

  • Fresh and delicious pork will have a light pink or light red color, bright and fresh. The meat fibers are firm and have good elasticity, indicating quality pork.
  • You should choose pork that has the characteristic aroma of meat, with the meat and fat tightly adhered to each other, and the surface is dry.
  • Avoid buying pork that has an unusual foul smell or has a slimy texture, as this indicates old and spoiled pork, which is of low quality.
