Tips for choosing good chicken:
- Fresh chicken will have a rosy, bright color. When lightly touched, the meat will feel very elastic.
- The chicken skin should be thin, smooth, and light yellow; some areas like the breast, wings, and back may be a darker yellow. Avoid choosing chickens with white or dark, dull colors; with yellow skin all over; or with bruises, scratches, or blood clots on the skin.
Tips for cleaning chicken properly to avoid fishy smell:
- You should soak the chicken in water with a few slices of crushed ginger and salt (about 1 tablespoon) for about 15 minutes. Make sure the water covers about half of the basin!
- After soaking, wash it thoroughly with cold water about 3 – 4 times.
Tips for removing turmeric stains from hands:
- Pour a little fresh milk into a bowl and use cotton to slowly apply it to the stained areas.
- Alternatively, you can put sugar in a bowl, add just enough water to cover the sugar. Stir with a spoon until dissolved, then use cotton to apply it to the stained areas.
- Additionally, you can use menthol oil or 90-degree alcohol applied to the turmeric stain. The color-removing effectiveness of menthol oil and alcohol is also very good.
