-
Prepare the cabbage
When buying cabbage, remove any leaves that are rotten or damaged (if any), then soak the cabbage in water mixed with 1 teaspoon of salt for about 10 minutes to clean off dirt, then rinse with clean water and let it drain before cutting it in half.
Put the cabbage in a bowl, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and 4 tablespoons of olive oil, then mix well and let the cabbage soak for about 5 – 15 minutes.

Roast the cabbage
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
Place the seasoned cabbage on a baking tray and spread it evenly.
Put the cabbage in the oven and roast at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes until the cabbage is cooked and golden brown on all sides.
-
Make sauce with pecans
Place a pan on the stove, add 4 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of water into the pan. Turn the heat to low and stir well until the ingredients are completely dissolved.
When the sauce starts to boil, add the pecans into the pan, continue to stir for about 1 minute until the sauce coats the pecans evenly, then turn off the heat.
Pour all the pecan sauce onto a plate, or a clean cutting board, spread it out evenly, and let it cool so that the syrup solidifies.
-
