How to Make Gac Juice

  • Strain the gac flesh

    You cut the gac fruit in half, then put the pulp and seeds into a sieve, and then use a spoon to stir and press hard to strain the gac flesh, discarding the black seeds.

  • Blend the gac

    After straining the gac pulp, you put the red gac flesh along with a bit of yellow gac flesh (the flesh next to the skin) into a blender, cover it and blend the gac until smooth for 1 – 2 minutes.

  • Cook the gac water

    After blending the gac flesh, you put it into a pot, add 1 liter of water, stir evenly and cook over medium heat.

    When the gac water simmers gently, you add 4 teaspoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, stir until dissolved, then turn off the heat. At this point, you strain the cooked gac water through a sieve again to remove all the small residue and let it cool down to complete.

    Tip: If you like the natural sweetness of the gac juice, you can skip adding sugar or other flavoring substances.

  • Choose naturally ripe passion fruits that have a bright red or golden yellow color, evenly colored, with a smooth, shiny skin, looking plump. The darker the color of the passion fruit, the riper it is, and the sweeter it will taste.
  • When holding the passion fruit in your hand, you should feel that it is heavy, the size is proportional to its weight, and it has a characteristic mild fragrance; you should buy it as it will have a lot of juice.
  • Avoid buying passion fruits with mottled colors or uneven colors because these fruits are not ripe yet, so they are very sour and have little juice or may emit a strange smell, indicating sourness.

How to make gac passion fruit juice

  • Prepare and filter passion fruit juice

    Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop out the pulp. Then, use a hand blender to blend the passion fruit smoothly.

    Next, pour the blended passion fruit through a strainer to separate the seed pulp and collect the juice, then put it into a pot.

    You stir the mixture of gac juice and passion fruit with 4 liters of water, then put it on the stove and cook over medium heat.

    When the water boils, add 600g of rock sugar to the pot, cover it, and continue to cook for 10 minutes to let the sugar dissolve.

    After 10 minutes, turn off the stove and let it cool; you can enjoy it right away!
