Snakehead fish 400 gr (filleted) Ground meat 300 gr Dill 6 sprigs Shallots 6 bulbs Garlic 6 cloves Spring onion 3 sprigs Cooking oil 5 tablespoons Common seasonings a little (salt/ seasoning powder/ pepper)

How to choose fresh dill

  • You should choose dill plants that are dark green, about 40 – 60 cm long, with smooth outer stems and longitudinal grooves, small leaves, growing alternately, thin and soft, without stems.
  • Choose dill plants that have the characteristic pungent aroma of plant essential oils, with a slightly bitter taste.
  • Avoid buying dill plants that are bruised as they are not fresh.

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Wash the dill thoroughly, drain, and chop finely. Wash the green onions, drain, and chop small.

    Peel the garlic, wash it clean, drain, and mince it. Wash the shallots, drain, and mince them.

    Place the fish cake in a bowl and spread the fish evenly along the sides of the bowl, then add the minced meat in the center of the fish and spread it out.

  • Marinate and mix the snakehead fish cake

    You put the minced snakehead fish into a bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate into the bowl, then mix all the ingredients together.

    Add 1/4 of the green rice into the fish cake mixture and knead. Next, add another 1/4 of the rice and mix once more until the fish cake and rice are uniform and form a chewy, sticky mass.
