How to choose delicious fresh bananas
- It is advisable to choose a bunch of bananas that are not evenly colored (some yellow, some green) and have dark or deep pink spots.
- Naturally ripened bananas will have yellow stems and bodies. If the stem is green but the fruit is uniformly yellow, it has definitely been soaked in chemicals.
- Ripened bananas will have a fragrant smell and natural sweetness, with a soft texture. In contrast, chemically treated bananas will feel a bit crunchy, hard, and have a bitter and sour taste when eaten.
- Avoid selecting those that are evenly ripened with dark yellow skin.
