How to make Cabbage and Onion Duck Salad

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After purchasing the duck, clean it thoroughly, rubbing salt all over the duck several times before rinsing it with water. Next, peel, crush, and finely chop a piece of ginger, then mix it well with white wine and rub it all over the duck to eliminate the characteristic odor.

    Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, cut it into 4 parts, then slice or shred it into thin strands, wash it clean with water, soak it in diluted salt water, then drain.

    Peel the carrot and cut it into thin strips, slice the onion into rings, and remove the roots from the herbs and wash them clean. Peel and wash the garlic and onion.

    Tip:

    To reduce the pungent smell and maintain the crispiness of the onion, after slicing it into rings, place it in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

How to prepare Duck Salad with Banana Flower

  • Prepare the ingredients

    After the duck is cleaned, rinse it again with cold water. Then prepare a bowl of rice wine mixed with a little ginger water to rub on the duck meat to eliminate the fishy smell. Next, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse the duck again with cold water and place it in a colander to drain.

    Before slicing the banana flower, you should use your hands to strip off the old outer leaves, pulling apart each layer until you reach the tender part of the banana flower, then stop.

    Next, slice the banana flower thinly crosswise and immediately soak them in a mixture of diluted salt water with ½ lemon. Soak the banana flower in the prepared water for at least 30 minutes. After that, take it out and rinse several times with water until clean.
