How to make Ginger Banana Peanut Candy
-
Prepare the ingredients
Peel the bananas, remove the fibers, and cut them into small pieces. Use a fork to mash the bananas, add 150g of sugar and mix well, then let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Peel the ginger, wash it clean, and cut it into thin strips. Soak the ginger in cold water for 15 minutes, then take it out and squeeze out the excess water.
-
Roast peanuts and sesame seeds
Place a pan on the stove, and when the pan is hot, add the peanuts and roast them over low heat. When the peanuts turn golden and fragrant, turn off the heat. Wait for the peanuts to cool, then take them out and remove the shells.
Then add sesame seeds to the pan and roast them over low heat until they turn golden and fragrant, then turn off the heat.
-
Banana Jam
Place a pot on the stove, add the mashed bananas and julienned ginger, and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, then add 3 teaspoons of lemon juice.
Continue to cook for about 30 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly, then reduce to low heat. When the mixture turns brownish-red and no longer sticks to the pot, continue cooking for another 10 minutes, then add half of the roasted peanuts and cook until the candy is “done”.
See more: To check if the candy is “done”, prepare a bowl of cold water, use chopsticks to take a small amount of the candy and drop it in, then use your hands to form it into a ball. If the candy is chewy and firm, it’s ready; if it’s still crumbly, keep cooking. -
Pour the Candy into Molds
Prepare a mold lined with plastic wrap, sprinkle some sesame seeds and roasted peanuts, then pour the candy in and spread it evenly. After that, sprinkle another layer of sesame seeds and peanuts on top and cover with a layer of plastic wrap.
Place the candy tray in the refrigerator for 2 hours or wait 5 hours for the candy to cool, then cut into small, bite-sized pieces and wrap with paper or plastic wrap for later use.

Final Product
The ginger banana candy has an attractive brown color, and the candy piece is fragrant, chewy, and delicious. The candy has a mild sweetness along with the nutty flavor of peanuts and sesame seeds, combined with the spiciness of ginger. When eating, just enjoy it with a cup of tea for the perfect experience!
Successful Implementation Tips
