Ground pork 200 g Silken tofu 1 piece (about 300g) Chicken egg 1 piece Shallot 1 bulb Coriander a little Chilli powder 1 tablespoon Cooking oil 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon Soy sauce 1 tablespoon Common seasoning a little (salt/ sugar/ seasoning powder/ pepper)

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Cut the soft tofu into bite-sized cubes, about the thickness of one finger joint.

    Peel the shallots, wash them, and slice them thinly. Cut the roots off the cilantro, wash it, and then chop it up!

  • Marinate and stir-fry the meat

    You add ground pork into a bowl, add 1 spoon of seasoning powder, and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Mix well and marinate for about 15 minutes for the meat to absorb the spices.

    You heat a pot, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, and then add 1 sliced shallot to fry until fragrant over medium heat.

    When the shallots are golden and fragrant, you add the ground meat, stir well for about 2 minutes until the meat is crumbly. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of ground chili, and 1 teaspoon of ground pepper. Continue to stir-fry for about 3 more minutes until the meat is cooked and evenly seasoned.

    You put the cut tofu into the pot. Gently stir to avoid breaking the tofu. Cook on the stove for about 5 – 7 minutes until the meat sauce reduces and the tofu absorbs the flavors.

    Next, crack 1 egg into the pot, keep the heat medium and cover for about 2 minutes. When the egg white is just cooked, use chopsticks to gently stir so the egg blends with the dish.

    Finally, you can adjust the seasoning to suit your family’s taste, then turn off the heat, serve on a plate and garnish with a little cilantro to complete the dish.
