How to Choose Pistachios for Ice Cream

  • You should choose American pistachios as they will have a sweeter taste and a more fragrant aroma compared to other types of pistachios.
  • American pistachios often have a more natural color, as they are not bleached, and while the surface may not be eye-catching, they are still very safe.
  • If selecting pre-roasted pistachios, choose those that are unsalted, have evenly opened shells, the nuts inside should not be wrinkled, and have a light green color covered by a brownish skin.
  • Fresh pistachios will have a light fragrance and will not smell rancid.

How to make Pistachio Ice Cream

  • Prepare the pistachios

    The remaining 195g of pistachios should be placed in a blender with 310ml of condensed milk, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and blend until the mixture is thick and smooth.
