Bird’s nest 1 piece Pandan leaf water 300 ml Goji berries 5 gr Rock sugar 2 teaspoons

  • You should choose bird’s nest that has a yellow or orange color, with many strands intertwined.
  • Choose bird’s nest that has a sea scent and does not lose color when soaked in water.
  • Avoid buying bird’s nests that have been stored for too long, with mold on the surface and no longer have a fragrant smell.

How to choose good goji berries

  • You should choose goji berries that have swollen seeds, large diameter, and dark red color.
  • Choose goji berries that have uniform color, without black spots, as those are the quality ones.
  • Avoid buying goji berries that are small in diameter, have large seeds, and little flesh, as they will not taste good.

How to make steamed bird’s nest with pandan leaves

  • Prepare the ingredients

    When you buy bird’s nest, put it into a bowl and pour cooled boiled water to cover the bird’s nest.

    Soak the bird’s nest for 1 hour until it fully expands, then tear the bird’s nest into small pieces.

  • Steam the bird’s nest

    Add the soaked bird’s nest into a mini electric hot pot along with 300ml of pandan leaf water, goji berries, and cover the lid, cooking for 5 – 10 minutes until the bird’s nest pot boils.

    After that, add 2 tablespoons of rock sugar into the bird’s nest pot or adjust according to your taste!

    Scoop the steamed bird’s nest with goji berries and pandan leaves into a bowl and it’s ready to enjoy!
