How to choose delicious tofu, without gypsum
- Tofu made from soybeans usually has an off-white color, and when smelled, it has a characteristic aroma from soybeans, which is very pleasant.
- You should choose tofu that feels elastic and smooth when pressed.
- Tofu mixed with gypsum is usually very hard, has a pure white color, and when smelled, it has no odor or has a sour, strange smell.
- Avoid choosing tofu pieces that feel slimy to the touch, or have turned yellow as this indicates spoiled tofu.
- To ensure safety for your family, you can make tofu at home using the recipe shared by TasteVN right below.

Prepare the ingredients
Blanch the instant noodles in boiling water for 2 – 3 minutes until they expand. Then take the noodles out, rinse with cold water or soak in a bowl of cold water for 1 minute, then drain.
Add 1/2 pack of seasoning powder and 3 packages of oil to the noodles, and mix well.
Fry the tofu until golden brown on both sides, then slice it into thin pieces.
Peel the shallots and garlic, then mince the garlic and slice the shallots.
Clean the green onions by removing any bad leaves, cutting off the roots, and picking the fresh basil leaves. Wash the green onions and basil, cut the green onion leaves into sections, and chop the remaining green onion tops.
Peel the carrot, slice the cabbage thinly, and trim the edges of the green beans. Rinse the carrot, green beans, cabbage, and bean sprouts until clean. Then shred the carrot and chop the green beans into small pieces.
