Prepare the ingredients
You wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and cut them in half. Peel the onion, wash it clean; for large ones, cut into quarters, and for smaller ones, cut in half.
Peel the garlic and wash it clean. Wash the basil leaves.

Roast the tomatoes
First, preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Then, arrange the tomatoes evenly on a tray along with the onions and garlic, then season with 5g salt, 5g pepper, and roast for 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

Cook the soup
Put 500ml of vegetable broth on the stove and cook on high heat; when the water boils, add the roasted tomatoes along with the basil leaves and bay leaves and boil on high heat for 10 minutes.

Strain the sauce
Normally, for speed and convenience, you put the tomatoes in the machine and start blending, but the seeds will ruin the beautiful color of the soup. Therefore, you should pass the tomatoes through a sieve and strain to obtain pure tomatoes with a more attractive color.
