How to choose clean and quality pork intestines
- Good pork intestines will have a thick surface and a pinkish-white color. Additionally, the smaller the intestine, the fresher it is, making it tastier and odorless.
- Using your hand to squeeze the pork intestines and see a milky white liquid oozing out, feeling the elasticity indicates that these are fresh, recently slaughtered intestines.
- Do not buy pork intestines with large intestines, slimy, dull in color, and having an odor, as these are old or have been stored for a long time.
How to choose fresh and delicious pineapples
- When buying pineapples, choose those that have a yellow color mixed with green, as this indicates they are just ripe, not too green or too ripe.
- Round, short pineapples will have more flesh than elongated ones.
- Choose pineapples with large eyes and spaced-out eyes, as their skin will be thinner and peeling will result in less flesh loss.
- Additionally, a just-ripe pineapple will have a faint fragrant smell and yield slightly when pressed.
- Avoid pineapples that are deep yellow, have a strong odor, or are too soft when pressed, as these are overripe and may be spoiled inside. Moreover, do not buy pineapples that are too green with eyes that haven’t opened, as these are unripe and very sour.
