Tips for Successful Execution

  • Continuously stir the jelly during the cooking process to prevent it from burning and sticking to the bottom.
  • When cooking the crunchy jelly mixture, only bring it to a slight boil; do not let it boil too much as this will cause the jelly to dissolve.
  • For any leftover jelly mixture, remember to cover the pot tightly and wrap it with a cloth to keep the mixture warm and prevent it from solidifying.
  • For layered jelly, you should wait for the first layer to form a skin and become slightly firm on the surface before adding the second layer on top. Avoid adding the second layer while the first is still liquid, as they will quickly blend together.
  • If the jelly layer has completely set, you can poke holes evenly on the surface with a toothpick before pouring the next layer in. This will prevent the jelly from separating into layers.

Tips for Storing Jelly

  • It is advisable to tightly cover the jelly and store it in the refrigerator for 5 – 7 days.
  • Do not store at room temperature as jelly can easily spoil.
