How to choose fresh ingredients
How to choose good quality dried squid
- You should choose small dried squids, not too big. These squids will be sweet and not too chewy. If you want sweeter squid, you should choose leaf dried squid or tube dried squid.
- When buying, you should check if the squid is completely dry by pressing it with your hand; if it does not stick to your hand and is not moist, it is good.
- Choose squids that are bright in color, slightly red, and have a natural aroma of dried squid.
- Do not choose heavy, soft, sticky squids or those with too dark colors, as these are usually kept for a long time.
How to choose fresh bean sprouts
- To choose fresh bean sprouts that are not soaked in chemicals, you should prioritize bean sprouts with thin, curved, and uneven stems, long roots, and opaque white stems.
- Do not choose bean sprouts with thick, swollen stems, short roots, or those that are too white and unusually long, as these have usually been soaked in chemicals and are not safe to eat.
- In addition, you can also grow bean sprouts right at home very easily following the instructions from TasteVN!
