Tools needed
How to make Oreo cake using microwave
-
First, split 40 Oreo cookies in half, use a knife to scrape the cream filling into a bowl, and place the cookie shells into the blender. Blend the cookie shells until they are very fine and smooth.
-
Mix the cake batter
Put the Oreo cake crust flour into a bowl, leaving about 2 teaspoons of flour to mix with the cream.
Next, add 8g of baking powder, 320ml of unsweetened fresh milk to the bowl and mix well for about 2 minutes until the mixture is combined. Then, divide the cake batter mixture into 3 equal parts.
-
Bake the cake base
Prepare a round ceramic mold with a diameter of about 15cm that can be used in the microwave, brush a thin layer of cooking oil into the mold.
Line the bottom of the mold with a layer of parchment paper, then brush another layer of oil on the parchment paper for better non-stick performance.
Pour part of the cake base mixture into the mold and spread it evenly. Place in the microwave and heat at 700w for 3 minutes. After the time is up, take the cake out plate and continue to heat the remaining 2 portions of cake batter (divided equally in step 2).
Use a bowl with a diameter of about 14cm to invert over the center of the cake base, use a knife to cut off the outer edges of the cake to obtain a nice round cake base piece.
Sequentially cut the remaining 2 pieces of cake base to get 3 evenly round cake base pieces.
-
Mix the whipped cream
Add 200g of whipped cream into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of the leftover Oreo cake shell powder and mix gently, ensuring it is well combined.
Transfer the mixed cream into a piping bag, tightly tie the opening of the bag, and cut the tip.
-
Decorating the cake
Place one layer of cake in the center of the plate, pipe round balls of cream around the edge of the cake, then cover the center of the cake with cream and place the second layer of cake on top.
Continue to pipe cream on the remaining two layers of cake. On the top layer of cream, pipe round balls of cream to cover the entire surface of the cake, then decorate with a few mint leaves and one Oreo cookie in the center.
-
Final Product
The finished oreo cake has 3 beautiful layers, with a soft and fluffy cake base that smells wonderfully of milk, and the creamy frosting mixed with the rich flavor of oreo cookie crumbs is very delicious.
