How to Make Cheesy Sticky Rice Cake

  • Mix the dough

    Prepare a pan with 220ml of unsweetened fresh milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 20gr of unsalted butter, then place it on the stove to melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, remove the pan and sift the prepared sticky rice flour into the pan. Mix the flour mixture well to form a dough.

  • Make the cake

    Mix the dough until it feels smooth to the touch, then divide the dough into small pieces. Cut the cheese into small pieces to use as filling; you can use Laughing Cow cheese or string cheese.

    Take the small pieces of dough, flatten them with your hands, place the cheese in the center, then use your hands to gather the dough and roll it into a ball or shape it as you like, ensuring the filling does not show outside.

    After shaping the cakes, place them in a pan, and pan-fry the cakes evenly on all sides until cooked through. When the cakes are golden on all sides, brush a layer of water on top and cover the pan with a lid, waiting for the cakes to cook through.
