Unlike regular rice cookers that only use heat or magnetic fields, pressure cookers are pots that use heat combined with high pressure to cook food inside. Therefore, pressure cookers can also be used to cook rice just as well as rice cookers. Let’s explore Cooking Tips from TasteVN and learn how to cook rice using an electric pressure cooker right now!

How to Cook Rice with Electric Pressure Cooker
-
Wash the rice and put it in the electric pressure cooker
You take 160gr of rice and wash it thoroughly with water to remove dirt, chaff, and other impurities. Then, open the rice cooker lid, take out the inner pot, and add the rice along with 280ml of water.
Tip: If you use more rice, be careful that the rice/water ratio does not exceed 2/3 of the pot. -
Cooking rice
First, place the inner pot into the cooker body. At this point, you must ensure that the inner pot is completely dry when placed in; when placing the inner pot in, gently rotate it so that it can fit snugly against the heating plate.
Then, close the lid and check again. If you see steam escaping from the lid and body, it means the lid is not sealed tightly.
Plug it in and adjust the cooking function suitable for cooking rice. Adjust the temperature and cooking time depending on the dish you are cooking (since this is rice, it should only be about 10-15 minutes).
Note: Lock tightly and turn the pressure valve lid in the correct direction to seal it well, and check the valves to see if they are clogged.
-
Release steam and finish
After the pot has finished cooking, gently turn the pressure knob to release all the steam, disconnect the power, and then you can open the lid.
Once the rice is cooked, you can use a ladle to scoop it into a bowl and it is ready to serve.
