Ingredients for Thai-style Coconut Chicken Soup – Tom Kha Gai For 3 people

Chicken breast 1 piece Brown reishi mushrooms 150 gr (can be replaced with other types as per preference) Coconut milk 400 ml Chicken broth 500 ml Tomato 1 fruit Shallots 4 bulbs Green onions 2 stalks Lemongrass 2 sticks Galangal 1 root Fresh chili 1 fruit Cilantro a little Lime leaves 3 leaves Lime 2 fruits Fish sauce 2 tablespoons Palm sugar 2 teaspoons Salt a little

How to choose fresh and delicious chicken breast

  • Choose pieces of meat that are bright pink, firm, and not slimy, with no unpleasant smell.
  • Avoid buying chicken breasts that have white stripes on the surface of the meat. This is a sign that the meat does not contain much protein and will easily become mushy when cooked, making it unappetizing.
  • Additionally, you should buy chicken breasts at reputable supermarkets or grocery stores to ensure quality.

Note: Coconut milk can be purchased at markets, stores, supermarkets, or e-commerce websites. Currently, coconut milk is available at the TasteVN system. Moreover, you can also try making it at home using TasteVN’s recipe.
