Ingredients for Sticky Rice with Gac For 4 people

Gac fruit 200 gr Sticky rice 2 bowls Sugar 1 tablespoon Coconut milk 150 ml Salt 1/2 teaspoon White wine 5 ml

How to make Sticky Rice with Gac

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Soak the sticky rice overnight or at least for 4 hours with a little salt.

    Cut the gac fruit in half to extract the gac flesh.

    Press the flesh of the gac fruit to separate it from the seed, then mix it with 1 tablespoon of white wine.

    Take the gac flesh mixed with wine and combine it with the glutinous rice along with a little salt.

    During this process, you can add a bit of coconut milk for flavor. The amount can vary depending on your preference.

  • Steam the sticky rice

    Place the mixed mixture into the steaming basket of the rice cooker and steam for about 35 – 40 minutes.

    At this point, your gac sticky rice is considered complete. You can add a suitable amount of sugar for easier consumption.
