How to choose fresh and delicious salmon fillet
- Good salmon fillet has a pink or orange color, bright color.
- Press on the fish and feel the elasticity, firmness. The fish piece should be dry, with a characteristic salmon smell. The fat lines on the fish are evenly colored and bright.
- Do not buy if you see the fish piece is discolored, soft, watery, or has a bad smell, as this indicates that the fish has been stored for too long and is not fresh.

How to make Salmon Porridge

Prepare the salmon
Clean the salmon fillet, soak it for 10 minutes in water mixed with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of salt. Then take the fish out, rinse it again, and let it drain.
Next, cut the fish into bite-sized pieces.
How to eliminate the fishy smell of salmon- Method 1: Soak the fish in fresh milk for about 15 minutes, then rinse it. Fresh milk helps to remove the fishy smell and enhances the flavor of the fish.
- Method 2: Mix a little crushed ginger with 200ml of white wine (or vinegar), then dilute this mixture in water to soak the salmon. After about 15 minutes, take the fish out and rinse it clean.

Cooking porridge
Rinse the glutinous rice well, add it to the pressure cooker along with 1.5 liters of filtered water, salmon cut into pieces, 2 teaspoons of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and stir all the ingredients together.
Next, attach the inner pot to the outer pot, turn on the porridge cooking mode, and cook for 45 minutes until the porridge is smooth.
Note: Depending on preferences and the age of the baby, you can cut the fish into small or slightly larger cubes, just right for the baby to eat. -
Completion
After cooking for the required time, stir the porridge evenly, ladle the porridge into a bowl, sprinkle some chopped green onions and ground pepper on top, and it’s done.
Note: If the baby cannot handle spicy food, do not add pepper to the porridge. -
