How to cook Satay Noodles

  • Prepare the ingredients

    Peel the garlic and chop it finely using a knife.

    Next, cut off the roots of the green onions, wash them thoroughly with water, and chop them into small pieces.

    Finally, clean the roots of the cilantro, wash it well under running water, and chop it finely.

  • Mix the spice mixture

    Put the prepared garlic and onion into a bowl. Then season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of white sesame seeds into the bowl.

    Next, place a pan on the stove, add 20ml of cooking oil to the pan and turn on the heat to high until the oil is hot, then turn off the heat. Pour all the heated oil into the bowl containing the garlic and onion mixture, and stir well.

    Then, season with 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and 1 tablespoon of chicken broth into the bowl, stirring well for the ingredients and spices to blend together.

  • Blanch the noodles

    Place a pot on the stove, add 350ml of water to the pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. When the water is boiling, scoop 1 ladle of boiling water from the pot and pour it into the bowl of seasoning mixture above, stirring well.

    Next, add all the noodles to the pot and blanch for about 10 minutes until the noodles are completely soft and chewy.

    Put the blanched noodles into the bowl of seasoned broth, sprinkle a little cilantro on top, and the satay noodles are ready.
