Ingredients for Water Spinach Soup with Tofu For 2 people
Water spinach 500 gr White tofu 3 pieces (about 200gr) Vegetarian seasoning 2 teaspoons Common spices A little (salt/ monosodium glutamate/ pepper)
How to choose fresh ingredients
How to choose good water spinach
- Select water spinach that has a uniform green color from leaves to stems, with many tops, fewer leaves, and smaller leaf sizes as the tastier option.
- Avoid choosing water spinach with overly large leaves, fewer tops, and a thick appearance to avoid mistakenly selecting pesticide-treated vegetables.
- Do not purchase wilted or overly weak leaves as they will lack nutritional value.
How to choose good tofu, without gypsum
- Good tofu usually has an off-white color and is very soft. On the other hand, tofu with gypsum is often yellower, and the more yellow it is, the more gypsum it contains, making it harder compared to regular tofu.
- Buy tofu from reputable stores that ensure quality and have clear origins.
- Additionally, to ensure safety and convenience, you can make tofu at home using the simple recipe below.
