Ingredients
How to make Sweet Mustard Greens Soup with Fresh Shrimp
-
Prepare the ingredients
Wash the shrimp with water, then peel off the shell and use a knife to cut along the back of the shrimp to remove the shrimp vein.
Cut the sweet mustard greens into pieces about 2 fingers long, soak them in diluted saltwater for about 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water a few times and let them drain.
Chop the green onions.
-
Marinate the shrimp
Put the shrimp in a bowl and marinate with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of pepper, 1 teaspoon of MSG, and 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, mixing well. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes for the shrimp to absorb the flavors.
-
Cook the soup
Place a pot on the stove, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and heat it up, then add the marinated shrimp and stir-fry until the shrimp is firm and turns pink.
Next, pour in 1.5 liters of water and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat and quickly add the mustard greens, seasoning with 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, then use a ladle to stir until the seasonings dissolve.
After about 3 minutes, taste and adjust the seasonings to your liking, then turn off the stove, sprinkle in chopped green onions, and it’s done.
-
Final product
The soup with crunchy green mustard greens blended with sweet, tender shrimp definitely makes the family meal more appealing.
