  • To choose fresh chicken eggs, for industrial eggs, you should select those with dark brown shells, even color, no cracks, and no black spots. For free-range eggs, you should choose those that are pale, slightly white.
  • When you touch the surface of the egg and feel it is rough and slightly coarse, it is fresh chicken eggs; if the surface is smooth, it has been stored for quite a while.
  • You can hold the egg up to the light or sunlight, and if you see a small air chamber, the yolk is round, balanced in the middle of the egg, orange or light pink in color, and the white is transparent, it is a new chicken egg.

  • Mix the dough

    Sequentially add to the bowl the mixture of ingredients including: 1 chicken egg, 4g yeast, 30g sugar, 70ml fresh milk without sugar and mix the mixture well. Then add all the flour along with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and mix until the dough binds into a sticky mass, not clumping together is achieved.

  • Knead the dough

    You knead the dough into a uniform mass, using the part near your wrist to press down hard and push the dough away.

    Knead like this for about 5 minutes, then add 50g unsalted butter and continue kneading until the butter is fully melted, knead for another 15 – 20 minutes until the dough is elastic, soft, smooth, and no longer sticky to the hands.

    You put the dough into a bowl and then use plastic wrap to cover it tightly and let it rise for about 1 hour until the dough doubles in size.

    Take the dough out of the bowl, continue to knead it with the part near your wrist for about 1 minute, then divide the dough into equal small pieces. After that, cover the dough and let it rise for about 10 minutes before shaping.

    You can shape the bread according to your preference, cover the dough again, and let it rise for another 30 minutes before baking.

  • Baking the cake

    After letting the dough rise for 30 minutes, use a brush to apply a layer of unsweetened milk on the surface, sprinkle some white sesame seeds, and place the cake in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Preheat the oven for about 5 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius, then put the cake in the oven, baking it at 160 degrees Celsius for about 5 – 10 minutes until the cake is evenly golden. When the cake is done, open the oven and take the cake out to cool slightly.
