First, cut the green onion heads and crush them along with 1 fresh chili pepper. Next, add the tomatoes and sour bamboo shoots into the pot and pour in about 1.5 liters of water, just enough to cover the sour bamboo shoots. Then, place the pot on the stove and bring it to a boil over high heat.
When the mixture starts to simmer, add the crushed green onion and chili mix along with the fish, seasoning the mixture with: 2 teaspoons of monosodium glutamate, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
