How to choose good creamy avocados
- Avocado stem: Choose avocados with a slightly yellow stem, indicating they are just ripe. Conversely, if the stem is green, the avocado is not ripe.
- Avocado skin: Ripe avocados will have a brownish-purple, bumpy skin.
- Feel when holding the avocado: If the avocado feels heavy, firm, and soft when pressed, then it is a good ripe avocado, and you should hear a sound when shaken.
- Additionally, when buying avocados, gently press the top; if it feels soft, the avocado is ripe.
- If you see the skin of the avocado with many hard black spots, you should not choose it as it may not be good or could spoil easily.

How to Make Yogurt Avocado Ice Cream
-
Prepare the avocado
Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and use a spoon to scoop out the flesh.
-
Blend the avocado yogurt mixture
Add 100g of condensed milk, 65g of yogurt, and a pinch of salt to the bowl with the avocado and use the hand blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
After blending, tightly wrap the avocado yogurt mixture with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
-
Whipping Cream Whipping
Put 120ml of whipping cream in a new bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the cream until stiff peaks form, lifting the whisk to create a standing peak that doesn’t droop down.
Tip:
- To whip the cream faster, you can place the bowl of cream over a bowl of ice water or chill the whisk in the freezer for 15 minutes beforehand.
- Avoid whipping the cream for too long as it may cause the cream to separate.
-
Mix the Butter Mixture with Whipping Cream
Add the butter mixture into the whipped whipping cream bowl, then use a spatula to gently mix from the bottom up.
Bring the spatula to the bottom of the bowl, scoop and lift the ingredients up, then push to one side, continue mixing this way until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
-
Pouring into molds and freezing
Scoop the mixed whipping cream into the molds and place in the freezer to freeze the ice cream for 8 – 9 hours.
-
Finished product
Remove the ice cream from the molds, decorate the top with a little melted brown chocolate and a few pistachios to enjoy.
