How to choose fresh shrimp

  • Fresh and delicious shrimp will have an intact, firm shell and a translucent color. Additionally, the head and legs of the shrimp will be tightly attached to the body, not loose.
  • Choose shrimp with a slightly curved body, firm flesh, and a tail that is neatly folded together.
  • Do not buy shrimp with tails that are spread out and not neatly folded together, as these may be shrimp that were caught a long time ago or have been soaked in preservatives.
