Ingredients for Grilled Vegetarian Meat For 2 – 3 servings
Bread 2 pieces Cassava 70 gr Roasted peanuts 50 gr
Vegetarian seasonings: sugar, vegetarian seasoning, cooking oil, vegetarian grilled meat marinade, chili powder, vegetarian fish sauce

Tips for choosing good cassava:
- Choose fresh cassava with light brown skin, free from pests.
- Short, round, firm, and heavy cassava is sweet and delicious. If you want to buy sweet and fresh cassava, choose smaller or medium-sized ones. Large cassava will give you a crunchy feeling when eaten.
- Additionally, good cassava should weigh proportionately to its size. If a large cassava feels light, it is of poor quality.
- Cassava is not seasonal, so you can easily buy it at any time of the year.
How to make Grilled Vegetarian Skewers

Prepare the ingredients
Bread left outside to soften.
Peel the cassava, cut it into 1cm thick square pieces as shown.
Place a pan on the stove, turn on medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pan, add the peeled cassava to the pan, and if you like onion, you can add a little chopped onion. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of barbecue sauce, stir well for about 2 minutes until cooked, then turn off the heat.
Cut off the ends of the bread, cut it in half lengthwise, use a rolling pin to flatten both sides, then cut into square pieces the same length as the cassava pieces.

Make the marinade
Roast peanuts and grind them finely.
Add to the ground peanuts 2 teaspoons of barbecue marinade, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vegetarian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cooking oil, and 2 teaspoons of vegetarian fish sauce. Stir well to combine the mixture.

Grilled spring rolls
Place the cassava root inside the slice of bread and roll it up as shown. Use a toothpick to secure the meat roll.
Tip:
- You can remove some of the bread’s inner part to make the meat roll tastier.
- Place the golden side of the bread inside and expose the part with the inner filling outside so that the roll can absorb the grilling spices.

Grill the vegetarian meat rolls
Brush the mixed grilling sauce evenly over all sides of the meat roll.
Prepare hot charcoal with a grill or grill using a low flame in the oven for about 1 – 2 minutes, the meat roll will dry out and be cooked.
Tip:
- When grilling, remember to turn frequently so that the meat doesn’t burn!
- It’s advisable to brush oil on the grill or tray (if using the oven) so the meat doesn’t dry out and stick to the grill or tray.
