How to prepare Stir-fried Noodles with Beef

  • Prepare the ingredients

    To eliminate the smell of beef, rub the meat with a little salt for about 5 – 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and let it drain. After that, use a meat grinder and grind on high for about 2 – 3 minutes until the meat is finely minced.

    Fresh noodles should be blanched in boiling water for about 5 minutes, then rinse with cold water and let them drain in a colander.

    Carrots and su su should be peeled, rinsed briefly in water, and then cut into thin strips about 2 finger lengths long.

    Cabbage should have the wilted leaves and any infested leaves removed, then rinse thoroughly 2 – 3 times with water and slice into thin strips suitable for eating.

  • Stir-fry the beef briefly

    Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pan, wait for the oil to heat up, then add 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden for about 2 minutes. Take about 1 tablespoon of fried garlic out onto a plate to drain the oil.

    Then, add the beef to the pan and continue to stir-fry over medium heat for about 5 – 7 minutes until there is no red color left, then turn off the heat and transfer the beef to a plate.

  • Make the beef stir-fried noodles

    Continue using the pan that has the beef, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, wait for the oil to heat up, then sequentially add carrots, cabbage, and chayote to stir-fry over high heat for about 5 minutes.

    Season the pan with 1/2 tablespoon of seasoning and 1 teaspoon of salt, then stir briefly, next add the noodles and beef to the pan, mix well for about 2 – 3 minutes for the mixture to combine and absorb the flavors.

    Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, plate the beef noodles, sprinkle chopped green onions and fried garlic on top, then turn off the heat to finish.
