How to make Swirl Bread

  • Cook the milk mixture

    Add 80ml of unsweetened fresh milk, 20g of white sugar, and 10g of unsalted butter into a small pot, place it on low heat and stir until the sugar dissolves, then turn off the heat.

  • Mixing the dough

    You prepare a bowl, add 1 beaten egg until frothy, then add about 100ml of fresh milk, 3g of yeast, and continue to stir well. Then cover and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

    Prepare another bowl, add 200g of flour, then pour in the previously prepared milk and egg mixture, and mix well.

  • Kneading the dough

    Use your hands to knead the dough using the Folding and Stretching technique until the dough forms a smooth ball.

    First, fold the dough over, then use the heel of your hand to press and stretch the dough away. Note to press and stretch the dough away, not down. Next, turn the dough 90 degrees and repeat the two steps above for 15 – 20 minutes.

  • Shaping the dough

    Divide the dough into small portions depending on the size of the mold. Roll the dough into a long roll and wrap it around the cake mold to shape the cake. Gradually make the next cakes.

    Prepare an additional bowl for one egg yolk, add about 100ml of coconut milk, then stir well. After that, use a brush to coat this mixture around the cake.

  • Baking the cake

    Preheat the water oven for about 10 minutes at a temperature of about 200 degrees Celsius. Place the cake tray in the middle rack of the oven, with a two-fire setting, and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes, until the cake is golden on the surface.

    Fill the center of the cake with the filling, and finally the cake is complete. Plate it and enjoy with everyone; you can also eat it with avocado ice cream, which is very delicious.
